highest-ever performance Ducati Superbike 1198 SP ever: aluminium tank, Ducati
Quick Shift, slipper clutch, rear Öhlins suspension with TTXR technology,
370.03 lbs of dry weight. The 1198 SP is all set for your next track challenge.
The 1198 SP replaces the 1198 S in the 2011 Ducati lineup.
Featured upgrades to the SP are the addition of a slipper clutch and quick
shifter as standard features, as well as an Ohlins TTX rear shock. These
upgrades enhance a package that already includes the Ducati Traction Control
(DTC) and Ducati Data Analyzer (DDA) systems.
Ducati Quick-Shifter (DQS), which uses engine rpm, vehicle speed and throttle
position to cut out the engine in the quickest and most efficient way possible
for clutch-less up-shifting without needing to lift off the throttle. The unit
is housed within the new shift-linkage and is always on unless deactivated by
the rider through the control menu on the instrument cluster.
